Cuatro Amores

Jorge, a film director, begins a journey into the past to discover the struggle of his mother, Luisa, to be free during much of the second half of the twentieth century.

Madrid, 1976. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University. He began his professional career working in the direction department of films such as “La mala educación”, “Hable con ella” by Pedro Almodóvar, “El espinazo del Diablo” by Guillermo del Toro or “Moulin Rouge” by Baz Luhrmann. After making several short films and working as an advertising director, he debuted as a film director in 2014 with “Mindscape” starring Mark Strong, Taissa Farmiga and Brian Cox and produced by Studio Canal, and distributed by Warner Bros in Spain. In 2015 he joins the team of directors of the series “El ministerio del tiempo” which achieves unprecedented success in Spain, winning the Ondas Award two consecutive years and dozens of national and international awards. That same year he directs the TV movie “Teresa”, Silver Medal at the New York Film Festival. In 2016 he shoots the second and third season of “El ministerio del tiempo”. In 2017 he directs with Enrique Urbizu the series “Gigantes” for Movistar Plus, MIM Award best director and in 2018 he joins the team of directors of the two seasons of “El embarcadero”. In 2019 premieres “Frontera verde” Dynamo series for Netflix, of which he is executive producer. In 2020 premieres “The head” for HBO which he directs solo and of which he is also executive producer. He recently premiered the series “Feria” for Netflix, which he directs with Carles Torrens, and has in post-production his next film “Objetos”, starring Álvaro Morte and written by Natxo López. He has been nominated 3 times to the Goya awards.
