Inside The Yellow Cocoon Shell

Thien has to carry the remains of his dead sister-in-law to the family village, accompanied by his five-year-old nephew. Inside Vietnam, the ghosts of his own youth, of his brother, who has left to rebuild his life elsewhere, and of the war also await him. It is a pilgrimage with mystical overtones, to rural areas of the country and its little known Christian minority. The film questions the persistence of faith, not only in God, but in the delicate beauty of earthly existence.
